What actually changes when you upgrade
We only list features the product enforces today. Here is everything upgrading changes:
No more mark. Pro removes the small “Powered by LivePolls” mark.
Higher API limits. The REST API and agent/MCP tokens are available on every plan. Free allows 100 requests/day; paid plans allow 10,000 requests/day.
Scheduled close and sealed results. Set an end time, and optionally keep the running tally hidden until it arrives. Voters see a sealed ballot and a countdown — nobody reads the standings early, including you.
Poll themes. Five presets plus your own accent colour, applied to the poll itself rather than to a frame around it.
Vote protection. Add a bot check (captcha), and optionally limit voting to one per network. Voters see a “Protected” badge and the count of attempts it turned away.

- Is LivePolls really free?
- Yes. Creating unlimited polls, sharing them, embedding them, and using the REST API and agent/MCP tokens are all free. Paid plans raise your API rate limit and remove the "Powered by LivePolls" mark.
- What do I get by upgrading?
- We keep the list honest — everything on this page is a gate the product actually enforces. Pro removes the "Powered by LivePolls" mark and raises the question cap from 3 to up to 10 questions per poll, raises your API/MCP rate limit from 100 to 10,000 requests per day, lets you schedule a close time and seal every question's running tally until it arrives, unlocks five poll themes, and turns on vote protection — a bot check (captcha) and an optional one-vote-per-network limit, with a "Protected" badge your voters can see. Pro is the only thing to buy: one $9/month plan covering every poll on your account, no per-poll upgrades and no higher tier.
- Do I need an account to make a poll?
- No. You can create a poll in about 30 seconds without signing up. Sign in to claim ownership, see analytics, and upgrade.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe and you can cancel anytime from your dashboard. You keep paid features until the end of the billing period.
